The Inaugural 10k Run for the Ribbon

Sunday, May 18, 2008 - Minnehaha Park

The Inaugural Run for the Ribbon is presented by the Minnesota AIDS Project and will support ongoing work to stop HIV in Minnesota through advocacy, education, and service. The event takes place on the same day as the Minnesota AIDS Walk where thousands of supporters gather in an exciting atmosphere to raise awareness about HIV. The Run for the Ribbon is not an officially timed race, though mile splits will be given along the course in addition to a clock at the finish line.

Location and Time

The Run for the Ribbon begins at Minnehaha Park on 46th Ave and Mississippi River Blvd. in South Minneapolis. The route follows the scenic West River Parkway north to the Lake Street bridge where runners cross into St. Paul and follow the Mississippi River Blvd. back down and across the Ford Parkway bridge finishing back in Minnehaha Park.

The Run for the Ribbon begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

All runners are expected to be prepared for a prompt start time - please ensure you arrive early enough to pick up your number and begin running at 9:00 a.m.
